Measure your carbon footprint, report it with confidence
Turn the fuel, electricity and purchases you already record into Scope 1, 2 and 3 emissions, then into a GRI 305 report your customers, lenders and partners can rely on. No consultants' spreadsheets, no guesswork.
From activity data to an ESG report
Record
Log fuel and electricity in plain words, upload a spreadsheet from any system, or let ERPNext send purchases, stock issues and vehicle logs automatically.
Calculate
Scope 1, 2 and 3 emissions worked out with published factors: Kenya national (EPRA / IPCC 2006), US EPA and UK DESNZ, with IPCC AR5 warming potentials.
Reduce
Set reduction targets, track initiatives, and see what green power agreements and certificates do to your market-based Scope 2.
Report
A GRI 305 emissions report with its content index, as PDF or CSV, with warnings for any data the totals leave out.
What you get
Log activity in plain words
"300 litres of diesel for KDA 004M" or "1,200 kWh of KPLC tokens" becomes an emissions figure in seconds, per vehicle and per site.
Upload any spreadsheet
Fleet card statements, supplier invoices and fuel logs from QuickBooks, Sage, Excel or your own sheets. Downloadable templates included.
Automatic from ERPNext
Purchase invoices, stock entries, vehicle logs and expense claims create emission entries on submit, with no double entry.
Scope 1, 2 and 3
Fuel, refrigerants, purchased electricity, upstream fuel and grid losses, business travel, freight and purchased goods.
Green power counted properly
Location- and market-based Scope 2 side by side. Each certificate MWh is claimed once, only within its validity dates.
Targets and initiatives
Reduction targets against a base year, and initiatives whose achieved reductions feed GRI 305-5.
Carbon credits disclosed, not netted
Record credits held or retired alongside your inventory, kept separate from your scopes as GRI requires.
GRI 305 report
Disclosures 305-1 to 305-6, biogenic CO₂ reported separately, a content index with omission reasons, PDF and CSV.
Built for African businesses on the way to net zero
Customers, export buyers and lenders increasingly ask for emissions data. Start with what you burn and buy today; add your value chain as you grow.
Manufacturers and corporates
A credible baseline for customers, lenders and decarbonisation pledges.
Transport and logistics
Fuel and emissions per vehicle for fleets, SACCOs and distributors.
Hospitality and agriculture
Generators, LPG, charcoal and grid power tracked site by site.
Lenders and investors
Emissions data from the businesses you finance, in one consistent format.
Sustainability & ESG FAQ
What are Scope 1, 2 and 3 emissions?
Scope 1 is fuel you burn yourself (vehicles, generators, boilers) and refrigerant leaks. Scope 2 is electricity you buy. Scope 3 is everything else in your value chain, such as producing the fuel you use, purchased goods, business travel and freight.
Which standards do the reports follow?
Calculations follow the GHG Protocol, and reports are prepared with reference to GRI 305: Emissions, with a GRI content index. The figures support IFRS S2 climate disclosures and lender questionnaires. We prepare your data for assurance; we do not certify it.
Do I need ERPNext?
No. Sign up and log activity or upload spreadsheets from any software. If you run ERPNext, entries are created automatically from your transactions.
Which emission factors are used?
Kenyan companies use the Kenya national set (EPRA grid factor and IPCC 2006 fuel factors); others use the US EPA Emission Factors Hub. Purchased goods and processes use IPCC 2006 / UK DESNZ factors. Every factor is listed with its source.
Is our data private?
Yes. Each company sees only its own records, files and reports. Data is handled under the Kenya Data Protection Act, 2019.
Can you help us buy carbon credits?
We measure your footprint and record the credits you hold or retire. Buying credits is done with registries and project developers; we can point you to partners.
